After all that eating late into last night, out for a stiff walk into a stiff breeze this morning. All the streams are running, snow has nearly gone and the large puddles emptying.

last night we had a thick fog roll through that left us with frosty trees this morning. so i headed out for a quick loop around the block, slogging through thigh high snow and took a few pics :D

| Living Jewel: House Finch |

Male House Finch in plum tree, San Francisco Bay Area.
I saw lots of bird activity in this tree and the adjacent yard, today: many finches, a few doves, an occasional robin or sparrow, an Audubon's Warbler or two, and a Cedar Waxwing! This finch shot came out the best, I think. |
